WEEKLY SALARY RANGE- $2,271.26 – $2,963.62 (FY25)

The work schedule includes a half day on Fridays.


The Town of North Attleborough is seeking a Human Resources Director to support the municipality’s human resources operations. The Director manages the daily operations of the Human Resources Department, under the supervision and joint direction of the Town Manager and School Superintendent and is responsible for the administration of all human resources functions providing services to over 285 town and 645 school full and part time employees. Duties include but are not limited to labor relations, employee relations, recruitment, workers compensation, unemployment, training, and labor negotiations with thirteen (13) collective bargaining units. Responsible for the provision of all employee benefits in accordance with Town bylaws, State, and Federal rules and regulations. Ensures recruitment and hiring processes that are accessible, welcoming, effective, and efficient for all department heads, administrators, and applicants.  Performs related duties as required.

Education and Experience: Master’s Degree or an equivalent knowledge in public administration or a related field; a minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of work experience in the human resources field with progressively responsible work with union and non-union employees and at least five (5) years in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Professional or Senior Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) preferred.
